Welcome to Era Furniture (accessible via erafurniture.store). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of our website, the placement of orders, and the purchase of our products.

By accessing our website and making a purchase, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our website.

1. General Provisions

  • 1.1. These Terms apply to all users of the site, including without limitation users who are browsers, vendors, customers, merchants, and/or contributors of content.
  • 1.2. We ensure transparent cooperation and provide full information about our products, payments, shipping, and warranties.
  • 1.3. We reserve the right to update, change, or replace any part of these Terms by posting updates to our website. It is your responsibility to check this page periodically for changes.

2. Orders and Contracts

  • 2.1. An order placed on our website represents an offer to purchase a product. The contract is considered binding only after payment is successfully processed and you receive an Order Confirmation email.
  • 2.2. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order for reasons including but not limited to: product unavailability, errors in the description or price of the product, or suspected fraud. If your order is canceled after payment, we will issue a full refund immediately.
  • 2.3. We may contact you via email to clarify order specifications, customization details, or shipping address verification.

3. Pricing, Taxes, and Duties

  • 3.1. Prices for our products are subject to change without notice. The price applied to your order will be the price displayed at the exact moment of payment.
  • 3.2. For United States Customers: All prices are displayed exclusive of Sales Tax unless stated otherwise. Applicable state and local Sales Taxes will be calculated and added at checkout based on your delivery ZIP code, where legally required.
  • 3.3. For European Union (EU) & UK Customers: In compliance with EU/UK consumer law, prices displayed to retail (B2C) customers include the applicable Value Added Tax (VAT) rate according to the country of destination.
  • 3.4. International Shipping, Customs, and Import Fees: Our products are shipped internationally. The buyer is the importer of record and is solely responsible for any applicable customs clearance fees, import duties, and local taxes levied by the destination country.
  • Important for US Buyers: Orders valued over $800 USD are subject to US Customs import duties. You will be required to pay these duties to the carrier (e.g., FedEx, DHL, UPS) prior to or upon delivery. Refusal to pay customs duties does not entitle the buyer to a full refund.

4. Shipping and Delivery

  • 4.1. We offer international shipping to North America (USA, Canada) and Europe. Shipping rates and estimated delivery times are detailed on our Shipping Policy page and calculated at checkout.
  • 4.2. Delivery times are estimates and cannot be guaranteed. We partner with reliable international carriers (such as FedEx, DHL, UPS), but we are not legally liable for unexpected delivery delays caused by customs processing, severe weather, or carrier strikes.
  • 4.3. Risk of loss and title for the products pass to you upon our delivery of the items to the carrier.

5. Returns, Cancellations, and Exchanges

We respect regional consumer rights and apply different return policies based on your legal location:

5.1. For Customers in the European Union (EU) and the United Kingdom (UK)

  • Right of Withdrawal (14-Day Cooling-Off Period): Under the EU Consumer Rights Directive, you have the right to cancel your order and return the purchased product for any reason within 14 days from the day you (or a third party designated by you) received the physical goods.
  • Exceptions for Custom/Handmade Items: The 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to goods made to your specific specifications, highly customized items, or bespoke furniture built entirely to order.
  • Return Conditions: To exercise your right to return, the item must be unused, disassembled, packed in its original packaging, and in the same condition that you received it.
  • Return Shipping Costs: The customer is responsible for paying the direct cost of returning heavy furniture items back to our warehouse, unless the item arrived defective or damaged.

5.2. For Customers in the United States and the Rest of the World

  • Standard Return Policy: All sales of standard items are final unless they arrive damaged or defective. We do not accept returns based on “change of mind” due to the high costs and logistical complexity of shipping heavy wood/steel furniture across the ocean.
  • Damaged or Defective Items: If your product arrives damaged or has a manufacturing defect, you must report it to us at support@erafurniture.store within 48 hours of delivery. You must provide clear photographic or video evidence of both the item damage and the external shipping box packaging. We will either ship replacement parts, arrange a full exchange, or provide a mutually agreed refund.

6. Warranty

  • 6.1. All our products are covered by a 12-month limited warranty starting from the date of delivery.
  • 6.2. This warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and craftsmanship, as well as malfunctioning mechanical parts (e.g., transformer table lifting systems).
  • 6.3. The warranty does not cover damages resulting from improper assembly by the customer, misuse, neglect, exposure to extreme humidity/temperature, or normal wear and tear (such as minor scratches on wood finishes over time).

7. Limitation of Liability and Governing Law

  • 7.1. In no case shall our store, directors, or employees be liable for any injury, loss, claim, or any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages of any kind arising from your use of any of our products.
  • 7.2. These Terms of Service and any separate agreements whereby we provide you services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ukraine.
